British Honduras

01/28/2022

Two masts adrift,

one bent around

some reef of tropic type.

A dalliance

with latitudes

unknown to western types.

What goes beyond,

a sunken cove

no bounty reef athwart.

'twas raided twice

and left remains

beside your haunted port.

Honduran pass,

imperial hill

wrecked crews beyond a bend.

Pacific laps

the waves ashore

your mast adrift to mend.
